Hello, 2015.
It's been a while. A quick post to get things started this year.
Resolutions:
1. Start blogging, on my personal blog, and the ones for my girls.
2. Dress like a normal person. No more zip up hoodies, nursing tanks, and sweat pants.
3. Take pictures WITH my girls, no just of them.
Most likely a super long update post to follow tomorrow.

Back to school
I go back to work tomorrow. We have a couple of weeks of meetings, classroom set up, lesson planning, all that fun stuff. Ugh!
We are in such a good summer routine that I am not looking forward to waking up and then actually having to get up. I will miss my morning snuggle sessions with her and just taking our time getting ready. I am not looking forward to the rush that happens during the school year.
We are also in the process of moving. Our landlord wants to sell the apartment and asked us if we were interested in buying it. I think it would be a great investment, a place we can actually afford, and we wouldn't have to move. However, it doesn't make sense to buy a 2 bedroom.
We then started looking for other places here and think we've found one. We should get the final decision either today or tomorrow. It is way more than what we are paying now but it is also bigger. It also has an office which could also be used as a third bedroom when the time comes.

Mommy Advice
Now that I am on the verge of having baby #2, I can't help but think
back to when I was about to have my daughter. The fears, anxieties, and
apprehensions were just a few of the various emotions I was feeling. And
of course, the biggest question that almost every mother faces, "will I
be a good mother?"
Here are just some things that I wish someone would have told me (some did, but I didn't listen) and some things that I would say to expectant mothers if they asked. Obviously, giving unsolicited "advice" in the forms of "you should always" and "you should never" is highly frowned upon. So, don't.
1. Do your research, but don't let it dictate your every move. There is research to support almost every type of parenting choice. Arm yourself with some knowledge and then make the best informed decision based on that info. There is no one "correct style" so mix and match for your needs.
2. Don't let anyone (including, and especially, yourself) make you feel guilty about your decisions. Mommy guilt is rampant!! It is overwhelming and a huge downer. Whatever you decide, just know that you are making the best decision for you, your baby, and your family. No guilt!!
3. Go ahead and cry. Being a first time mother is HARD! Your body is going through tons of hormone changes and it is a lot to take in. It is perfectly okay to cry. Cry when your baby cries. Cry when your baby sleeps. Cry if you're lucky enough to take a shower. Then pull yourself together.
4. Ask for help. You now belong to a secret group of women who have been there, done that. They understand. They are eager and willing to help out a noob. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Don't be afraid to take people up on their offers. Ask for help and do it as often as you need to.
5. Let him make mistakes. We all know that you are the mom and you know best (because you do!) but he is the dad and he needs to learn, too. Let him do it differently than you. It may make you cringe, want to step in and show him the "right" way, but don't. Your baby will be fine. Really.
6. Use common sense. You are an intelligent woman. You've made it this far in your life by using your gut instincts and some common sense. Keep it up! Do what feels right to you. If it doesn't work the way you want it to, then try something different. Trust yourself and your mommy instincts.
7. Try not to compare. Oh, this is a tough one. Let's be honest, we all do it. So and so's baby is sleeping through the night at 4 weeks, why doesn't my child? So and so is a mother, working, and lost all the baby weight and I'm struggling to not be in PJ's all day. Live your life, not theirs.
8. Take what they say with a grain of salt. This ties in with #7. People lie. Yes, they LIE!! Mothers want to appear like they know what they're doing. Not everybody wants to admit their 16 month old is still not sleeping through the night or that they break down all.the.time. So, they don't.
9. Enjoy the tough times, too. This is easier said than done. I know. In the thick of it, you are staring at the clock wishing for the minutes to tick by faster. You're trying to get to the next nap, the next meal, the next anything so that the crying stops and you get some rest. It will, before you know it.
10. It's going to be okay. There will be great days, completely sh!tty days, days that you always want to remember and days that you can't wait to forget. You will want to stop time, wonder how you'll make it til 7pm, question everything you do and say and think "what happened to my life?"
But, it will all be okay.

Updates
I keep forgetting that I have this and don't update when I update my other one. So, I am C&P'ing the last two posts from the other one to this one. I will try and do a better job updating this one.
From May 21 - CVS Today
Home on bed rest after my CVS this morning. This pregnancy has definitely had its ups and downs. Hopefully, things will be a little more easy going after we get the results. I can say a small weight has been lifted after seeing a healthy LO, but definitely not 100% relaxed.
Work is getting stressful now that the school year is ending. I have mentally checked out as have most of the students. We are all just trying to power through as best we can. We are just in the midst of finishing up projects, gearing up for Open House, and prepping graduation stuff.
I haven't had too much time to update. This website is blocked at work and I try not to spend any time online while I am home with her. I get maybe 2-3 hours with her at night so I don't want to spend any of it writing about my day. I'd rather spend it laughing, playing, and holding her.
From June 17 - Another Girl
The results of the CVS came back after a couple of days and we are having another girl. He is super excited to have another "daddy's little girl" and I am just elated that she is genetically fine. We are able to use some of the same clothes and are familiar with taking care of a baby girl. Next big step is the a/s next month.
School is officially done so I am working from home finishing up grading and stuff. The end of the year stuff went by pretty quickly and I am just glad that it is all over. Just a few days of meetings this week and it will officially be summer break. I am looking forward to a few weeks away from school before the end of July.
I will have some time to update in the next couple of weeks since she is still in daycare for the month of June. Then we are pulling her for July so that we can spend some family time and save some money. I'm really looking forward to being able to take her to more places and have exciting discoveries together.

April Fool's Day
Last day of spring break. I will miss all the extra time I got to spend
with her. Now I'm just going to power my way through until summer.
Still haven't had my first appt so I have no idea what is going on with the pg. It still doesn't seem real yet and probably won't until the u/s.

Happy New Year
Hello, 2013. You've got a lot to live up to since 2012 was a pretty good
year. I know you can do it, though. Keep up the good work!
